Joey is an on-demand marketplace and telehealth platform that connects parents with Maternal and Child Health experts, including Lactation Consultants, Doulas, and Sleep Consultants.

Transition from search to speaking within 10 minutes. In less time than it takes for an Uber to arrive, you can engage in telehealth calls with certified and/or licensed independent health and wellness professionals. Discover the perfect support tailored to your needs.

How It Works:

 <li>Search by "Expert Type," such as Lactation Consultant, Doula (Childbirth Doula or Postpartum Doula), or Sleep Consultant.</li>
 <li>Refine your search results based on your specific requirements. You can find experts available Now (On-Demand), Today, or Soon (includes all search results). Various filters are available to help narrow down your selection, including our "Inclusivity" filters designed to enhance maternal healthcare outcomes for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. Additionally, choose from 25 language options if you prefer conversing with an expert in a language other than English.</li>
 <li>Explore comprehensive profiles of experts detailing their experience, approach, ratings, reviews, and prices to identify the best match for your needs.</li>
 <li>Schedule an Appointment or join the Waiting Room for an "On-Demand" call after completing preparatory steps.</li>
 <li>Prepare for your Telehealth Call by completing the "Client Intake Forms" beforehand and ensuring a well-lit, comfortable setting with a stable wifi connection.</li>
 <li>Collaborate on creating a "Care Plan" with your expert who will assist in addressing any ongoing issues.</li>

Use your HSA/FSA funds to maximize savings on telehealth consultations.

Following the Affordable Care Act guidelines, lactation support is now provided free of charge for most commercial insurance plans without co-pays, co-insurance, or deductibles.

If you plan to seek reimbursement from your health insurer, ensure collaboration with an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) certified Lactation Consultant. Typically, health insurers reimburse claims only when working with this category of lactation professional. Inquire whether the IBCLC provides a "Superbill" for submission as proof of consultation to your health insurer.
